How can I use several windows by Ribbon?

How to use Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 simultaneously and efficiently?

  • I just bought a top of the line computer. I have two separate 1TB hard drives for it. I have been looking all over and can't find a direct answer. I want to load Windows 7 on one hard drive, and load Windows Server 2008 on the other. This is so I can have one hard drive for gaming and home use, and have the other be a server for my website and such. What I want to know is, is there a way to run both hard drives at the same time so I can just switch from my Windows 7 HDD to my Windows Server HDD? (I read something about virtual machines but didn't really look into that at all.) The only problem with this is I want my server to be running at the same time I am working in Windows 7. I have also read that "Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2" run better together. But i could not find any legit information on this. How do I run both of these together???? That would solve all of my problems if I could get them both to work together so I can have the benefits of both at the same time.

  • Answer:

No. Virtual machines technically would allow you to run both, but the system in the virtual machine would not be able to take full advantage of the hardware, and running it while games are running would impede performance. The quote about "Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 probably refers to their functionality in the client-server model, not to their ability to run simultaneously.
