What can you say about Filipino people? How would you describe them?

I like me some Filipinas. :)

Determined

Having spent 6 yrs there l can honestly say that most are lazy, undisciplined, parasitic, dishonest and child like in their thinking. Few are curious about anything more substantial then "what's for dinner?" This may seem a bit over the top but true. A noted Filipino writer once told me, "our number one problem is a lack of discipline." Most filipinos say poerty nd corruption are the biggest problems facing the country. Before you condem me think about this...... An American born white Catholic priest told me he had sent more than 100 parishoners through colleges in the Philippines during his years in the pulpit there.... sometimes using his own money. Not one of them EVER said "thank you." l could relate countless experiences to back up my answeer to your question, but this is enough. Along the way l did meet some wonderful Filipinos... unfortunately they are a small minority.

My wife is Filipino, she's the best thing to happen to me, I love when we goto the Philippines every few years to see family that is there it is always awesome times. It is so relaxing there for me and our kids went for the first time back in 2010 and they didn't want to leave.

I only know a handful of Filipinos. I'd say their overriding characteristic is unfailing politeness.

Good people, as most in the world are. I knew a young dude who wanted to join our (US) Navy...... I lost touch with him, but I really do hope he got that done for he and his family. I helped him as much as I could. And if he is any measurement of them as a whole...... ambition reigns supreme
