Could swimming be the reason my back is so strong?

What is the reason a girl cannot wear a two piece swim suit during a school swimming unit in gym class?

• is it because it is not practical when practicing swimming, or is it because a girls midriff would distract the boys in the class? Is it because a teacher could get accused of harassment or something if it came off even if it wasn't the teachers doing? It is funny because boys can wear their swim shorts and nothing else

  Strangely we live in a society where men can go topless and women (except for in a few states) cannot. Even in places where women can go topless many choose not to. So society alone dictates that women have to cover their bewbies. But many women are ok with revealing as much skin as possible without actually revealing the goods completely. There's nothing wrong with that, but it makes for complications in a setting where you have professionals working and a bunch of distracted, hormonal teens, bent on getting attention and attracting others. With that being said, 2 piece bikini tops are known to come off pretty easily when swimming or diving. Also because of the various styles of bikinis and variance of how much actual skin they might or might not cover, I think schools just decide it should be a 1 piece. That way, no worries about anyone losing their top, no worries about string or mini bikinis being worn, no worries about midriff (which I think has more to do with cleavage than midriff showing).
