How to delete cookies maually?

I have seven tracking cookies on my computer that Norton refuses to delete. It merely "quarantines" them.... How do I delete them (ctnd)?

  • How do I delete them? I ran Norton quick scan about five times in a row. Each time it gave the same message: "These files have been quarantined. No more action is needed." Each time it listed the exact same seven files, each with the same name as before. I already tried Norton's other program that is supposed to delete cookies. Didn't work either. If there is no way to delete them, I need another security program. Any suggestions?

    If there is an action to take button on the Norton screen, try clicking on it and see if there is a drop down box that shows a delete option. Malwarebytes and superantispyware will delete tracking cookies, but I don't know if they would interfere with Norton.

Those cookies are probably attached to your registry. I bet if you had a professional registry tool, those files you speak of would go away. Once you cleaned the registry. Avast is free and much better than Nortons. You will have to delete Nortons before you install Avast. AVG is also good.
