How to delete cookies maually?

I have seven tracking cookies on my computer that Norton refuses to delete. It merely "quarantines" them.... How do I delete them (ctnd)?

  • How do I delete them? I ran Norton quick scan about five times in a row. Each time it gave the same message: "These files have been quarantined. No more action is needed." Each time it listed the exact same seven files, each with the same name as before. I already tried Norton's other program that is supposed to delete cookies. Didn't work either. If there is no way to delete them, I need another security program. Any suggestions?

  • Answer:

If there is an action to take button on the Norton screen, try clicking on it and see if there is a drop down box that shows a delete option. Malwarebytes and superantispyware will delete tracking cookies, but I don't know if they would interfere with Norton.

Those cookies are probably attached to your registry. I bet if you had a professional registry tool, those files you speak of would go away. Once you cleaned the registry. If you don't have such a tool, you should get one. It will probably prolong your computer until...Windows 17. Free Avira never gives me a problem. .'

Avast is free and much better than Nortons. You will have to delete Nortons before you install Avast. AVG is also good.
