Is using cell phone safe?

Do you have a house phone or are you using your cell phone as one number?

  • I realize we are living in the day and age when many are using their cell phones as their primary number. So if you have a cell phone do yo use it to compensate for having a house phone? Some do this because it eliminates two monthly bills. Thoughts on this and if you have a house phone, would you consider using a cell phone for your primary resource and getting rid of your house phone? Why?

  • Answer:

I have a land line too and have no intentions of getting rid of it because to me a cellphone is what I use to call others when I am out of the house and need to reach somebody in an emergency. While at home I inevitable forget to get it out of my handbag and my list of missed calls is always longer than received calls. I am most accessible on my land line. Also, if the conversation is going to be longer, my land line rates are cheaper.

I just have a cellphone, my daughter has one too. No house phone right now. The cost is the reason, I can't afford to have both a cellphone and a house phone right now. My daughters dad pays for my daughters phone.

Both. We have a landline and a cell phone. The cell phone was gift from Jim's son. :)

We had only mobiles for a long time (3-4 eyars) but a few months ago we got a new house phone because my dad's mobiles broke so we just use the house phone. Also it meant we got a better deal on our internet as we were paying £30 a month for a 10MB/s connection but we now get a 40MB/s connection for the same price.

I use my cell phone as my primary phone. The only reason that I have a home phone is that I have to for my internet.

I have both and would never get rid of the house phone. My wife and I make a lot of international calls to places such as Jamaica, Singapore, Japan and America and the calls are cheaper on the house phone than it is on the cell. I use my cell phone mainly when I'm away from home and I want to speak with family and friends but if I am at home and want to make a call I will use the house phone.

I have both . Wouldn't dream of doing without either of them .

I don't think there is really a need for a landline any more. We have one, but the only people who really call on the house phone are my grandparents.
