At what age your voice is fully developed?

What age were you when you became an adult? What changed?

• I don't mean legally. I'm asking what age you were when you realized, "Hey, I seem to be acting like a responsible adult on a daily basis!" To be fair, I'll answer my own question. I'm 22 as of today. I don't feel that I've hit that point just yet, but I do feel that I'm in the middle of the transition. I go to bed before midnight. I pay all my bills on time. I actually clean my house instead of doing it haphazardly. I actually cook dinner instead of microwaving ramen. I actually feel and notice the brain-rotting effect of TV that my mother always warned me about. Speaking of my mother, I catch myself saying things she always said to us. I've even developed a "mom voice" that seems to come out when my dog is doing something he shouldn't (I'm still not used to my new "mom voice").

  22, almost 23. That was many years ago. It happened when I learned that my fiance was pregnant. My life changed the moment it hit me that a little one was going to be depending upon me.
