How do I upload a video file on FTP that can be viewed only ( without downoding it)?

I need to upload a video on password protected FTP for some people to view. But they shouldn't be able to download it. How do I do this myself ? Please explain this in English since I'm not that good with the programers lingo.

It is close to impossible, as has been demonstrated over and over again. The problem for you is that downloading a file is exactly what happens when a video player gets the file. There is really no difference between a human downloading it and a video player getting it. Some video players (and the file server) can use encryption. But at some point it is capturable. Or the encryption is weak (because it has to be really fast for video, therefore simplistic). Better to incorporate watermarking so it can be easily identified as your product WHEN someone copies it and you want to enforce your copyright. One thing that is possible is to add a unique serial number to every copy and track the viewer + serial number combination. If the vid gets posted somewhere, you can then identify who posted it. Being able to do that depends on your business model requiring user registration and traceability (the technology itself is easy).
