Burning flip videos to dvd help?

Problems with encoding/burning on Windows DVD maker. Error around 75%. Help?

  • Hi. I have seen this issue on many forums over the internet and have been going research mad over the past couple of days and have finally given up and decided to post my own topic as everyone's suggestions are apparently useless. I have had enough of codecs, disc swapping, AC3filters, burn speed etc. ENOUGH! My problem is that nothing is wrong when making my DVD, menu, previewing etc... the problem comes about when encoding/burning. All my videos to put onto the dvd are .wmv. I have a .wmv video, a .jpg image and an .mp3 audio track all on the menu. Everything works fine when creating and previewing. I then click burn and everything seems to be running smoothly until it gets to around 70%-75% when it automatically goes to either 98% or 99% and then pops up the message "Cannot create DVD - an error occured while burning DVD"... I have had this a million times now after trying a million different things suggested online. Really want this figured out as it is sooooo frustrating and I have to wait around 2 and a half hours before finding out whether this next DVD is going to burn or not. I have a Windows 7 Acer Aspire laptop, 64-bit, intel celeron. I am currently trying to use Tesco DVD-RW DVDs Any more information needed, I am happy to provide... just please please please HELP!! And preferably asap! Cheers for reading :)
