Is business law and commercial law the same thing?

Need to find a textbook by V. Lopez for one of my classes called, "Business Law & Legal Envi..." ed.1 and can't anywhere

  • This is all our booklist tells us...: BUS 201 A & 17 ZERR LOPEZ BUSINESS LAW & LEGAL ENVI 1 TEXTBOOK M REQ $56.00 Any ideas where I can find this evil little thing? :-)

  • Answer:

I assume you've checked the college bookstore? I don't know how it is where you are, but have you checked local independent bookstores around campus? They usually stock the textbooks - and they're cheaper. A couple of other thoughts - a lot of schools are now renting textbooks either through the bookstore or the individual departments - if you've checked the bookstore, have you checked with the department? And, last but by no means least, I have no idea what its called, but there is a website where you can trade in books you'll no longer need for ones you do need. I wouldn't have the slightest idea as to what you'd even want to put down to search for it......the only reason I even know about it is that one of my students told me about it this semester. They traded in a Literature book for one for my class and the only cost was the cost to ship the book to the trade-in site which I assume acts as a clearinghouse. Good luck in finding the book!

By the way, if anyone is currently searching for my textbooks DO NOT buy the versions available from online sellers new or used without carefully reading the listings and examining the book covers as they are all (to date at least) obsolete first editions sold from $2 to more than $100 as new and used books. These Irwin/McGraw Hill and Prentice Hall first editions and more than a decade out of date and are not the same as the new editions, which have been rewritten and expanded. Also, be aware that there are numerous books with very similar titles to mine, so check carefully to make sure you are buying the right book by the right author. (This is true for all of your classes.) If in doubt, check my publisher's web page (http://www.textbookmedia.com) or my home page (http://www.victordlopez.com) for a picture and free previews of the books. As with many college textbooks, my textbooks are not sold (in new condition at least) other than through college bookstores or directly from my publisher. Eventually, used copies will be sold by a variety of retailers, but that is not the case today as there are simply not enough used copies available in the marketplace for these new editions unless students are selling them themselves, which is always an excellent alternative source of used textbooks for every class. Thanks! Victor
