Is overstock.com a good source to buy mattresses?

  • We need to buy a king and a full size mattress and Overstock has some GREAT prices as well as very good reviews on the mattresses. Any idea if it is a good plan to buy from Overstock? Anyone done it and regretted it? What should I look for in a good mattress? We want firm yet comfortable mattress. Thank you!

    We've bought memory foam mattress toppers for the kids queen size beds from http://Overstock.com and have been very pleased. They carry a lot of Serta which is a manufacturer that produces reasonably good quality. They also sell memory foam mattresses which we think are more comfortable than spring type mattresses. Their shipping rate is $2.95 for any item so you can't go wrong there either. If you found what you are looking for and the prices is right, go for it. They are a good on-line retailer. Good luck!

We got the Serta for the kids. My wife and I bought Tempurpedic from a local furniture store. I saw their BioPedic brand on the site but can't give you any personal feedback on it. The memory foam decision was without a doubt an excellent choice for us overall. The kids LOVE their mattress toppers. Check out the customer ratings for BioPedic. If customers are giving them high scores then that should give you some peace of mind. Good luck!
