Is there any free Equation Editor Control?

Microsoft Word 2010 Equation Editor question (Help, please! Desperate math teacher changing from 2007 to 2010)--

  • This is too specific for most people, I know, but I really need help. The font choice in the equation editor seems to be only Cabria Italic, but I want Comic Sans MS, like I've used for years to blend equations into worksheets. Also, closing the equation editor seems to throw me into a default double-space mode, which I don't want to have to continually change out of. Any help, especially with the font issue, would be GREATLY appreciated! You'll be Teacher's Pet for the whole week!

  • Answer:

First and foremost Stop using Word and use http://OpenOffice.org, it will save you a bundle of money, because it is free, unlike wordturd. And most of the time you can open your current file in it, too. I do not understand all your problem but, why can you not highlight everything and change the font? Why are you using wordturd when you should be using a spreadsheet?
