Strips do test well, there is some bleeding of dye though, so you do want to be careful about your dipping method, otherwise you'll have 2 readings on one piece of paper. One thing that I must point out is that the product is slightly different from the pictured one. The chart on these strips show WHOLE pH numbers. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11. I have been trying to use these tests but didn't realize until I talked to my sister who is a RN that there is something wrong here. When the test papers come in contact with any fluid, the blue bleeds off the strip so I have a plain piece of paper sitting in a pool of blue. She said they shouldn't bleed like this. If my hand is damp, I get blue all over my fingers. I can get a reading with just a small drop of fluid but it is very uneven in color, ranging from very dark around the edges to yellow-green in the middle. Another problem is that the picture shows the chart in .2 increments, but the chart on the dispenser they sent me is in whole numbers from 1 to 6. This is the specific type of test paper prescribed for medical testing of various bodily fluids by the Duke university hospital. That was my application and I selected it over others (including the same brand) for that single reason. It worked out.
