Does USPS deliver late?

How does UPS deliver to a USPS PO Box?

  • I order some things from a company and they said they will ship to a USPS PO Box, however when i received the tracking number for my order it is being sent by UPS. When i called up the company asking how will my package get deliver they told that UPS will either find me or will deliver it to the post office. I am a bit clueless on how UPS will deliver it the post office when they dont know which post office my PO BOX is at. Can anyone clue me in how this will be done?

    I am not sure how they do it, I was wondering myself. To those of you saying they don't do it... YES THEY DO... I've had it done so I can verify that as FACT. Came directly from my postmaster's mouth, but she doesn't know any details on it either. I live in a small town so there is only one obvious post office and the postmaster knows us all by name... But they do deliver things to the post office. She also told me that even if you have 5 items and one is scheduled for the post office and the other 4 for your home, that one cannot be given to you at home upon delivery of the other 4 it must be delivered to and picked up at the post office so it can be scanned!

Hi Shof, The US Postal Service is the only mail carrier legally permitted to deliver mail to a PO Box. UPS will most likely try to contact the person who the package is being delivered to via phone and will try to set up an alternative address for delivery. If there is no phone number included, the package will probably be sent back to the sender. Hope this helps! Eric http://Stamps.com
