A water proof phone is definitely a must have for me, so I bought this B2100. Here is my review in sub-catagories: 1. Waterproofing is Excellent.(I used it today for about 2 hours in the water, deeper than 1 meter at some moments when I kicked back at the wall, and dropped lower with dolphin-kicks after flip turns; but for most of the time, the phone was less than 1 meter deep in the water.) The phone is truly waterproof; however, reception will drop to 1 or 2 bars if it is 4 or 5 inches underneath water surface. 2. Great battery life. 3. Both ringtone and speaker are clear and loud.(some other reviews say it is muffled, and I cannot agree.) 4. Reception is very good. (better than my old LG cell, remember, all I did was switching the SIM card to the B2100, so the same AT&T carrier and the same locations.) An excellent phone for swimmers is my conclusion! I found it difficult to get up and running though. For example, there was no advice on how to migrate an address book from SIM card to phone--the automaticity I was used to just wasn't there. The menus are a bit clunky to move around, but speed dial and short cuts help. The one annoying thing is that the middle selector button immediately connects you to the WAP application and there is no way I have found to change this option. Also, you need to re-configure Time/Date every time you take the battery out--more annoyance. Texting is awkward, and voice slightly muffled, due to the phone's waterporoofing.
