ALL THE POLES ARE SUPPOSE TO BE CORDED BUT SOME OF THEM THE CORDS WERE PULLED OUT. SO WE TRIED TO SET UP ON MY DECK AND THE NONE CORDED POLES KEPT ON FALLING AND DOING A LOT OF DAMAGE. AFTER A HOUR OF THE POLES FALLING I CALLED THE COMPANY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE RIGHT AWAY SAID I MUST OF USED THE CANOPY AND JUST TRYING TO RETURN IT NOW. I obtained this on clearance when a local store was shutting its doors. I have used this on several occasions 3-4 times a years and this year bought another one. First of all you have to follow the instructions completed inorder for the tent to be set up without alot of hassel. I have done this by myself on several occassions. The cords are used not to strengthen the tent but to assist with assembly. The poles are about 2 feet in length so there are 6 poles linked together with the string for the width. There are then 4 sets of poles each 5 poles long 2 for each length.
