Sure there are things you can gripe about (old-school text display makes things a little tougher, like when you want to balance speakers) but all-in-all it's great. I had no problem setting it up after reading the manual a bit. The sound is great and full, the sub is hearty, and I'm running all of my video devices through it with no problem at all. This review is from: Pioneer VSX-520-K 5.1 Home Theater Receiver (Electronics) So I researched multiple stereos to make sure I got the right one. This was definitely a great purchase!! It has worked good and installed in less than 30 min. I am a technical person so was really simple to get everything hooked up. Pros: - Easy to install. - Remote compatible with multiple electronics. - Doesn't get to hot I have an xbox placed on top of it. - Manual shows you how to set up sound preference as in speaker distance and multiple other things. Cons: - Not 3D compatible, don't have it and don't care. - While watching a dvd on my xbox the surround sound doesn't work right... unless I just don't know how to figure it out. - There are no A and B speaker set ups like old stereos, just one speaker set. Overall I think that this is a great buy for a cheap simple stereo. If you aren't looking to spend hundreds of dollars on one this is the one for you!!!
