This review is from: Verbatim 96552 AquaAce 4.7 GB up to 16x Glossy White Inkjet PrintableHub Printable Recordable Disc DVD-R (50-Disc Spindle) (Electronics) I use an Epson R-220 photo stylus printer to print directly to these disks. I select "premium surface" as the DVD type. The images are sharp, clear. I'll go as far to say "pretty". The glossy look is so striking that you'd swear that the ink was under a layer of sheen. Yes, it actually looks like the ink is embedded into the surface. The difference between these disks and the matte surface type is a quantum leap. Comparing the 2, with identical printed material, and the matte surface ones look out of focus with loss of detail. As recording quality, these disks are archival quality and I've had no problem burning them and verifying the results using a Plextor, Sony, or Lite-On burner. This was my second order.
