I bought this camera for around $1000 two years ago. Just got off the phone with Dana from Canon virginia support center. Her solution was get ride of the camera and buy a new one. You will not be able to capture your video without a firewire port that HP says are not being used anymore. Camera is great otherwise - that is, if you didn't have to get rid of it. I would've never got this one if I knew of the world of filming on dslr. So I say if you really need to start filming now and don't have the money for a dslr, buy this. But if you are willing to wait and save the money, just get a dslr. If you don't know what it is, go to youtube and look it up.
