I have had past times before this that I have used longer skis instead. When I switched to skiboards, I was looking for some quality wax that would perform well with low budget. I came across Hertel and took a very long time researching and taking responses and reviews on it. I was a little hesitant at first, but when I hit the mountain, I couldn't believe how well this stuff performed. I took it through trees, through powder, through terrain parks, and the bunny hill (once). I was able to get a consistent glide off of dirt mixed with snow which killed me when I rented longer skis with different wax. It may seem like it's all the same when it comes to wax, but for price and performance (especially when I was able to do my own waxing process for $30) it suprised me how inefficient I can maintain my skis for. I would go beyond recommending this highly and BEG you to buy this over other waxes. This will be the best wax you ever buy, period. This review is from: Hertel "Super Hot Sauce" All Temperature Ski and Snowboard Wax, 3/4 lb Brick (Misc.) I hot waxed my Burton T6 with Swix CH8 wax as a base layer and CH4 for the top CH4 wax layer. It was tuff to scrape the wax off. I tested the T6 on Big Bear after a snowstorm in February 10. The board glided well all morning but by noon the base edges were dry. The following day I waxed the T6 with Hertel's Super Hot Sauce. The wax went on easy and scraped great. The next day I snowboarded all day long and the board handled and glided great. It was fast. After the day the base edges still had wax and the board was still as fast as in the morning. Swix is expensive and I didn't like the end results. Hertel is resonably priced and is a great wax.
