I had no issues with the poles slipping or collapsing. cork handles are comfortable. wrist straps adjustable. shock absorber feature was easy to turn on or off. I compare them to previous pairs I've owned which were komperdel and black diamond. maybe an ounce or two heavier, but less than half the price. the little rubber feet are mainly useful for protecting the tips during travel. This review is from: Pair of Pace Maker Trekking Poles with small disks and vulcanized rubber feet (Misc.) i was going to return these because both poles refused to open upon arrival with my bare hands over several attempts and curse words, but the shipping would've cost the amount of the poles... so after i opened them with my plyers, doing slight damge, everything was smooth sailing. they seem durable, light, nice grips, nice shock absorber. i leaned on each one with all my weight and they held it. only time will tell, but barring any functional defects that may rise down the line, i like what i'm holding now that they open, especially considering the price comparison to other poles. The poles are sturdy and reliable but I felt that the hand straps were a bit clumsy. Also the hand grip looks like it's made out of cheap cork wood.
