This review is from: Walther Special Operations P99 Extra Kit - Dark Earth Brown (Misc.) I just got this gun in the mail today, so this will be a "first impressions" sort of review. When I opened up the clamshell packaging and first wrapped my hand around the gun, I was happy to find that the plastic felt high quality and thick. The package contains the gun with the Silencer/Suppressor/Compensator/What ever-It's-Called, an extra clip, and two packs of 400 BBs. The gun has a nice weight to it for the most part, though the clips feel very cheaply made and plasticy. They also have no weight to them, and the BBs rattle around inside them when you move the gun around. On the upside, they can hold alot of ammo. The Silencer (That's what I'm calling it) is very well made itself. It's thick and tough. Without the Silencer, the gun has has a big orange screw like tube thing jutting out of the end of the gun. It's about 3 quarters of an inch long and isn't too aesthetically pleasing, but it doesn't affect the performance of the gun or anything. Also, when the silencer is attached, be careful with the gun; the part where it attaches to the gun feels a bit delicate, and be sure that you don't screw it on too tightly either. As for the gun's performance, it claims to shoot at 300 FPS. I dunno about that, it only shoots about 30-50 ahead. It's very accurate with the silencer. Without it, it's still fairly accurate, but the BBs scatter a fair amount. Overall, it's a well made gun, one of the best pistols I've owned, and I've owned about four. It's an awesome looking one as well; holding it you feel like the famed secret agent 007: James Bond. It's an excellent deal for the price. Worth buying. Like the title says, this is a really good springer. The whole thing except the trigger is plastic and weighs under a pound. With .12 bbs (CYMA), the bbs curve up after 20 feet. The .20s (TSD) seem to be meant for it as the fly pretty much straight. Using .25s and .26s (TSD) they start to slowly drop as soon as they leave the gun. With .26, it feels like a bee sting at 35-40 feet. Accuracy is very good with .25s and decent with .20s, forget about .12s. The gun has this cool feature called a slide lock where the slide locks back when the clip is empty. You may have heard other reviews where the slide locks back when there are still bbs in the mag but this may just be caused by how they're cocking it. If you cock it diagonally or upside down, the slide lock will engage because there is no spring to prevent it from engaging due to gravity. the slide has a ejection port which is also cool because you can see visually if there are any bbs left and you can load it without the mag too. Be careful cause you can pinch you hand with it (hurts) The mock silencer seems to remedy the problem with the bbs shooting up and left.
