This review is from: Black Magic Single Sheet Griptape (Sports) Probably not what the product was intended for but here is why I love Black Magic: As a U.S. Army Infantry soldier, I use small pieces of the skateboard grip tape on the bottom edges of my rifle magazines to aid in pulling them from my pouches and rifle even when I'm sweating or wet. So far the Black Magic brand has been sticking without fail. One sheet is enough for my whole platoon (around 20 riflemen). Props to SSG Zerby for passing this tip along. I use this grip tape on the backstrap of my pistols. Easily the best grip modding material you will find for customizing the grip to your hand on the cheap. I have discovered that the sticky side does not grip well to certain serfaces but over all it is holding up fairly well. I also put a few strips on the steps of my deck to add traction. This review is from: Black Magic Single Sheet Griptape (Sports) Before Mob griptape started taking over the market, Black Magic was the gold standard for skaters throughout most of the 1990s. It's a bit grippier than Jessup and generic skateshop griptape but doesn't eat your shoes super fast. I like the fact that the grip lasts better than Jessup et. al throughout the life of the deck. There are no gimmicks or perforations or graphics on this tape, just plain grippy black grip. It's too bad more shops don't carry Black Magic these days, but I'll still go out of my way to get it when I can. Good thing Amazon is offering it here, but they need to figure out how to package it better. Mine came in a huge box, which is completely necessary and a real waste.
