As someone who always carries a pen in his front pants/jeans pocket, it's important to me to have a pen that is small, doesn't leak, doesn't poke, and doesn't open up and write in my pocket. The Fisher Space Pen meets all these requirements. The pressurized ink cartridge, in addition to writing at any angle, also lasts a long time, so I don't have to change the refill often. (In fact, I lost my last Space Pen before I had to refill it.) The shape of the pen might not be ideal for extended use--I wouldn't recommend it for taking an essay test--but it's fine for pulling out in a meeting to take notes.
