I bought it in June 2010, so it'll last you about a year if you've got short hair. My hair tends to fluctuate between .5" - 2.0" depending on how long I let it go between cuts. I normally dab a bit in my hands and water it down a bit. Then I 'wash' it off the hands by adding a bit more water and wiping it down all over my head. Good stuff! First, I thought it would be bigger but it's pretty convenient for its size. Other than that, the hair gel does look like glue and sticks to your hair amazingly. One of the tougher things is getting the gel out of your fingers/hair when you are finished styling or taking a shower to get rid of it. This gel is pretty good, I would also recommend Got 2B Blast Freeze Spray (may not be exact name, but similar) which helps hold your hair even more. Even without the Freeze Spray, the hair gel works in doing what it says it would do on the surface: provide a fierce, strong hold.
