It has a clip on the bottom that neatly attaches to a tripod, allowing you to easily zoom and record without touching the camera. It also has a zoom speed dial. This is really nifty because you can make it your standard control (the harder left or right you push the faster it zooms) or you can set it to a number and it zooms at that speed only. No more video where it takes off from you. This was designed for Canon cameras, but works on any camera with a LANC connector. Used them on Sony Super8 cameras and worked amazing.
