This review is from: Fenix 6 Level High Performance Cree LED Flashlight, Black, 4-Inch (Sports) This light frustrates me. I also own a Streamlight Stylus Pro, 4 sevens preon2, and a fenix ld20. I was really looking forward to this light, especially because I have the fenix headband and the ld20. This light is a great size, and is plenty bright. Love that is uses AA power. Problem is it doesn't always come on when you press the button. It also doesn't always got to the proper mode when switching the brightness. Its a decent light and I use it but it is very annoying because it will just shut off sometimes if you jiggle it or bump against something. It is highly unreliable. All my other lights are rock solid, but this is just not dependable. I don't need my light for life an death situations, not military or first responder so its not critical, but if I was this light would be in the garbage. You just don't know if its gonna cut on, cut off, come on bright and blind you. I'm gonna contact them and see about warranty replacement. I've had it for a month and half now. I purchased a few as emergency lights, designed to be carried in a purse or backpack so family members ALWAYS had a light with them. After seeing the quality and how they function, I intend to buy a few more. I honestly can't see why the average person would EVER need more light than this little workhorse can give. This review is from: Fenix 6 Level High Performance Cree LED Flashlight, Black, 4-Inch (Sports) I purchased the Fenix LD10 back in Sept 2010. It is the older version, Q5. It makes a high-pitched buzzing sound on medium and high. I can sometimes hear the buzzing even when the flashlight is held by my waist; other times, I can only hear the buzzing sound when the flashlight is held close to my ear. I think I was unlucky to get one from a bad batch. I exchanged on LD10 for another LD10 from Amazon and they both exhibited the same behavior, so I suspect they both came from the same bad batch. When the battery level is low, the light will flicker on medium and high. (I also have a Fenix LD20 Q5 that works perfectly and does not make a buzzing noise.) Functionally, the LD10 is a great flashlight, provided you get one that doesn't make a buzzing noise.
