I was impressed by the review by the driver who uses it all week. I purchased a refurbished unit with a bundle that included home/car antenna for $59 plus a case for $9.99. Both my Sirius Starmates died after about 1 year... and I did not want to shell out big bucks and get burned again. So I figured I'd hedge my bets with this model and I am glad I did. I use it mostly in my home through my mini-stereo and it sounds great. First thing I noticed was that the antenna and receiver were much more powerful than the Sirius Starmate (this is a knock off model of the Starmate). I can pick up the station in other rooms in my home. Also I don't have to put the antenna outside over the porch like I did with the Starmate. This antenna/receiver allows me to put my antenna on the floor next to the sliding glass doors in my living room and I enjoy excellent reception so I don't have to worry about wearing out the chord. It has the same features as the Starmate including the instant replay... and I am able to tune into the receiving station on my mp3 player's radio and record songs directly onto my mp3 player and it sounds great! I've also had the mp3 radio playing and have listened to sirius while doing housework. I have had the unit since Memorial Day 2010 ... I wanted to wait a few months before writing. I'm very satisfied with the Xact player and it's great to have sirius radio again after not having it for about two years. I would buy another unit for a friend. Unfortunately this is my second xact, and my last. I have emailed xact (the only way to contact xact) three times. I have gotten no response from anyone there. Sirius is no help either. In fact I am considering canceling my sirius account and going back to commercial radio. It is easier listening to commercials then it is to deal with all of the trouble I have had with the radios over the last two months. I caution everyone that xact is JUNK. Run away from xact as fast as you can. This product is a waste of time and money. I am sure there are radios out there that work better. I just have not found one yet.
