Picture quality was very good and remote control was better than expected. Remote has "mode" which lets you see all of the modes that are sent to your monitor so that you can pick the best looking one. At no time did the picture disappear due to "wrong: mode being sent to the monitor. Remote control was very responsive. One item that might be misunderstood is the PIP function. Picture-in-picture only works if the unit is hooked up to your computer. PIP function does not work on stand-alone monitor. Unit scanned all of my channels quickly and picked all of them up. Very satisfied. This unit is much better than the Mygica SuperColor HD TV Box Video Converter Box. I had this item and picture quality was much worse and when a bunch of cables were hooked up to it, it looked like an octopus. This unit sits flat. Audio out cable hooks to the side instead of the back of the unit but this will be a small annoyance for most people. Good buy and free Amazon shipping. Not an HD video device and not a HD reception device. Picks up NTSC cable and has additional inputs as listed for DVD or gaming system. No composite or HDMI hookups.
