  The Challenge of Destruction, in Pokemon Ranger, is one of the tests that await the Pokemon Ranger in Summerland's Jungle Relic. With each temple challenge, you must navigate through certain obstacles and capture the Pokemon waiting for you at the end. Once the challenge is completed, the stone of one of the elements is broken and a flame is lit under the Entei statue. Also, your styler is charged to full capacity. You cannot save once you are in the challenges but you can escape at any time if you fall off the edge of something - this will require you to start over, though. Once you reach the room at the end of the path, you must capture and calm a Salamence. This Salamence shoots powerful Hyper Beams at the capture line to impede capture. The most effective way to capture Salamence is to draw a line in front of it, lift, wait until it shoots the Hyper Beam and circle it as much as you can while it is flying. Take caution when it lands, too, because it causes circles of energy to come up from the ground and can damage your styler.
