However, there is a workaround. If you want to wake to something on your ipod, you can leave the unit on (if it is plugged in with the AC adapter), set the volume where you want it and then set the alarm on your ipod and place it back onto the unit. (If you use your ipod controls to turn off the ipod and don't touch the unit, the unit will stay on and simply play again once the ipod comes on.) I think the best thing about this unit is the remote. For the alarm, I am a deep sleeper and like the fairly loud alarm. However, there are lots of songs I can use that just aren't that loud anyway and work better for the alarm. The remote works wonders, being able to select any song or video you want with full menu and select buttons. Conclusion: This is not a bad product. Pricewise, this is great.
