This review is from: Canon MF6590 Duplex Copier, Printer, and Color Scanner with Super G3 Fax (Electronics) I purchased the Canon MF6590 as an upgrade to an HP injet All-in-one (6310). I was looking for duplex scanning and printing. These functions work perfectly (with the one caveat that to scan, you must use the USB connection rather than the network connection). Primary difference between this machine and comparably priced machines is the ability to scan 2 sided documents. Also, this model comes with the full -106 cartridge (not a starter cartridge) Printing (B&W) and scanning is fast, efficient, and relatively quite. I haven't used the fax capability, so I can't comment on that feature. I have used the device to scan and print thousands of pages without any problems. I still haven't had to replace the cartridge (which I shouldn't have had to). For the money, this is a great machine which I would recommend to others. It arrived, and was installed on the network without any significant issue. I left for the weekend, after discarding the packaging, and returned this morning to finish the network installation. It was then that I discovered that this network ready printer/copier/scanner/fax isn't really all that network ready.
