Dollar for dollar the Kodak is the better buy. Can you use it professionally? No, but for the hobbyist or amateur vidoeographer like me, it's a great buy. None of the other tripods I've purchased ever came with a 'How To Take Great Images With Tripods' pamphlet, either. Also, attaching the quick release head on the Kodak was a snap with the wing-nut type attachment.
