Esguerra - See all my reviews (REAL NAME) This tiny gadget made me and my psp even more inseparable! It's plug-and-play -- the first time i tried it though, my psp was looking for a compatible camera so i thought it didn't work. I re-attached it and then as soon as i switched the psp on, it was on camera mode. You do need to have system 3.0 at least installed. It works with both the older psp and the slim version. All the settings are pretty self-explanatory, especially if you've used digital cameras before and if you're familiar with the psp menus. It can go wide or close up and still be sharp. There are 4 image sizes from 320x240 (youtube standard) to 1280x960. You can choose fine or standard image quality. There are 4 settings for white balance (auto, daylight, fluorescent, incandescent). Exposure adjustment goes from -1.5 To +1.5. And for major fun, there are 4 effects: sketch, toy camera, distortion, and text. The pictures and videos are automatically saved in a DCIM folder in the memory stick; videos are saved as AVI and pictures as saved as jpg. As of this writing, there's no english version of the chotto editing umd software that comes with the camera but you don't need it to shoot (or upload) pictures or a video. I used it for a little bit. You can shoot a 15-second video with the chotto software and then you can add effects like an orange wipe effect. That's as far as i got experimenting. Did I mention that it has a microphone, too? So overall, this is not a rinky-tink gadget that sony just threw in. It's cool, serious fun and worth my $50.
