It's easy for most man. Unless it has involved something special (it's hard to explain what special means). Some just don't do it directly because they might get bad reputation or they pity the girl. Even a married couple can cheat.
Did you want him to pine away for you forever? If he is your ex you must have moved on. I hope you'll be happy for him..afer all, you did love him once, didn't you? Happy Tuesday! :)

I wondered the same thing myself, and it took me a long time to except that feelings can change and that he was hiding those changing feeling from me for a lng time by not talking to me about the things that upset him. It came out of the blue for unsuspecting me. It hurts. I know.

He was no longer 'in love' with you (nor you with him, for that matter) since that stage of feeling high and excited etc., is a chemical hit as your hormones go into overdrive. That stage can last between a few months to about three years maximum. After that, if you're properly bonded then true love begins to grow. This is a more mature, caring phase and involves realizing there's more to a relationship than physical desire etc., So, he may have thought he loved you but secretly felt the absemce of the earlier 'rush' and when he got that with someone else he mistook it for love. Maybe that relationship won't last either. Move on and find an emotionally mature person to love.

He had you believe that he was in love with you. Maybe its long gone. Maybe he was just not that into you anymore. Many men do things without emotions. they are not like us. its easy for most of them to run through the motions. If he really loved you, i bet he did not get over you just like that. i bet you a big part of him still loves you. maybe not the same way he used to though and he probably did not replace you. He'd just found someone to with whom he can move on with. I suggest you get over him getting over you and move on too.
