Would my irrelevant work experience be a problem?

I need help with getting a job but one problem I have no high school diploma, and no experience in the work force. I have tried the vocation program but it is a hassal to get a job through that program. I am having problems trying to get my G.E.D.

    If you think getting a G E D is hard, wait till you have to work in a menial job for 8 - 10 hours a day and still don't make enough to pay your rent. Where I live, newspaper delivery does not require any high school diploma. Just partner with someone who has a car. After you prove you can do it correctly, they will let you sign up for multiple routes and you can actually make a living at it. The only requirement is that you must be absolutely, 100% reliable. You can also get a fairly decent paying job in a nursing home,helping with elderly and severely injured people. It's not very pleasant work, but in a good facility, it can be rewarding. I do volunteer work in the Escalon homes in our area.

I hate to say it, but your best bet is to keep trying at that GED and deal with the hassle from the vocation program. That, or find a friend who will give you a job, but that's somewhat less likely. And for anyone else reading this - sticking with high school and graduating is very important, even if it doesn't seem like it when you're 16 and don't want to bother.

Flipping burgers does not require education! Seriously though, if it is only a job you are looking for, there are a lot of jobs out there that do not require an education but if you are shooting for the stars you are going to be severely disappointed. Just keep trying for that G.E.D.
