What happens to your medical records when your family doctor dies or leaves the practice?

Answer:
In case of a death, I believe they are sealed until the estate is settled. Then you must request the records to be forwarded to your new doctor. If a doctor leaves the practice, you can request the records to be forwarded immediatley to your new doctor.
