It belongs to my mother, so I wanted to get one of these for my own family. I'm glad to see the quality has not diminished. After comparing all the other cribbage boards out there, this one seems to be the best, hands down. It's nice solid wood with beveled edges, and it supports 4 players simultaneously which is a must in my opinion. Plus, it has all of the scoring options in the middle if you want to keep track of points, corners, skunks, etc. I'm certainly not a "pro" cribbage player, but if you want a high quality, durable board for more than 3 players, in my opinion this is the one to get. Cribbage is a great game, played with a standard deck of cards and although it's got lots of strategy and thinking, it's simple enough that most 8 to 10 year olds should be able to pick it up with a patient teacher. On the one from the garage sale, someone actually drilled in an extra row of holes . At different times, we have had up to 12 people playing at the same time. Last year i bought this cribbage board for my son and this last Xmas one for my brother and his family. The fun we have had using this board with our extended family is priceless.
