My computer will not send out pictures. What is wrong?

When I send my friend an e-mail that has picture on it, she does not see the pictures (note, these are not attached pictures) What kind of program does she nee in order to open the pictures? I figure a computer comes with the ability to open pictures

  IF your friend is only receiving emails in text, ONLY the text will be displayed, and any pictures embedded in the page on your end will be discarded. So, she must receive emails in HTML. Have her check her TOOLS/READ settings. If there (or somewhere else in her options or preferences) she has "Read all messages in Plain Text" or something like that checked, she will NOT be getting the pictures. Turn it off (uncheck it and apply/click ok). If she's viewing the email in PREVIEW mode, and the pictures were converted (your program, her program, etc.) to be ATTACHED instead of embedded, she MAY have to double-click the email message, and then click on the attachments one at a time. (In THIS case, the computer should display the pictures correctly, but in a separate program.) PLEASE be sure she has an anti-virus running. Viewing in text-only is a security issue, as nothing will automatically run, and no webpages can be sent to her. The anti-virus should check all incoming and outgoing emails for possible viruses.
