Do you need a down payment to refinance?

We need to refinance our home. We are in an adjustable rate and the payment is $1800 per month. REDICULOUS!!! We are currently in a chapter 13 BK. The house is not included in that. We are NEVER late on the house payment. Please help us refinance.

I was in a similar situation. I called a company called http://www.proloanmods.com and they took care of everything for me. It was extremely affordable and I went from 11% down to 6.0% and now I have a fixed rate. I can actually afford to live now!

You need to discuss this with your lender. They hold the ultimate authority over your loan.

Wide Awake @ has closing date woo hoo

Not sure of where you live, But is there any way that you could sell your home at this point. That way you could recover your equity in said house. And in these trying times, rather than lose your home somewhere down the line. Perhaps, It is time for you to get out from under a $1800 monthly house payment You could see about refinancing your home, But then you will have to look at all the Pros and cons in doing so. And then dicide what is best for you in the long-run. The main thing is, Don't panic,Take your time and work things through. Best of Wishes. Philippines

It's not rediculous, it's what you agreed to. Has anything changed or are you getting ready to get right back into the soup? Why didn't you take the home into Chapter 13 with you?
