some of the best blog suggestions for 100 things to make me happy Happy Saturday my lovely wedding lot – and Saturdays mean more getting to know the person behind the blogger, me!! So following on from last week, the first 10 in my 100 things that make me happy, here comes 10 – 20….I love dancing. I should add that I do not necessarily do so with any skill, I learnt ballet as a child, and I attempted Rock ‘n’ Roll and Ballroom and Latin lessons last year. I should note that a drunken Rock ‘n’ Roll incident lead me to sprain my ankle and require crutches…perhaps highlighting said lack of skill…but I still love it. Nothing beats a good boogie on a night out with the girls. I also love dance films, mainly because I want to be able to dance like the girls in the films… # 12 Log fires One of the best things about winter, I love an open log fire and being snuggled up inside when the weather outside is frightful… # 13 ChristmasThe other thing that I love about Winter is Christmas. And not just the receiving presents (though that is lovely) but the whole build-up to Christmas. The sparkly lights, choosing presents for loved ones, going to Christmas parties and, perhaps best of all, pretty party dresses!! # 14 Historic Houses I wish that I had more time to spend visiting the many, many beautiful stately homes and historic sites that we have in the UK because I think that they are fascinating. I love exploring stately homes and thinking about what life might be like living in those houses.. I love finding out about the people that used to occupy the houses. My two favourites are Chatsworth House and Hamton Court Palace {Waddesdon Manor visit} # 15 Quiet Evenings that Unexpectedly Turn out to be Awesome Perhaps the best nights are those without any expectations…and some of my best nights have been had when just popping down to the pub for a ‘quiet one’ or having the girls round for a quiet drink…because one drink often leads to another and lots of hilarity ensues! # 16 BBQs with Pimms I have sneakily squeezed two things that make me happy into this one….but I love a good summer BBQ, and no BBQ is complete without a jug…or two…or Pimms! {Pimms O’Clock} # 17 Wedding Magazines No surprise here, ey?! I have kind of covered this story on the blog before, but I have been obsessed with wedding magazines long before Aphrodite came into play…I have been known to head to the shop in my pyjamas to pick up my latest wedding fix…the obsession is definitely more acceptable since the blog has been born mind :) As a little aside, check out some of my favourite wedding mags here! # 18 Butterfly themes You may have picked this up from some of the entries on the blog (check out this DIY butterfly picture post) but I love butterfly themes – whether it is a wedding theme, artwork, or to pretty up clothes (I have a number of dresses with butterflies on them). I am unsure where the obsession comes from, but aren’t they just so beautiful and elegant?! And I am all about the pretty…. # 19 Singing in the car to great tunes Whatever my mood, whacking up the radio and singing good tunes loud is always a sure-fire way to put a smile on my face. # 20 Exeter I went to University in Exeter and I am absolutely in love with the city.
