What do you know about the company Vector?

Has anyone else heard of "Vector/Cutco" marketing company? I heard they are a big scam but I dont know what to think. Has anyone else heard of these guys, and are they a scam?

  Vector/Cutco is a real company. They have you do a form of direct sales... basically, you pay to get the products (the knives) or they tell you they will be deducted from your first paycheck. Next, you bother your friends, family, or anyone else you can think of to have mercy on you, and listen to a 20-30 presentation (sales pitch) on why they should buy the knives. If you succeed in setting up these appointment and selling things, they will pay you. If you don't sell, you don't really get paid. They tell you there is a "base" pay, but trust me...if you don't sell after like two days they boot you. If you are good at sales, you can do well though, and make lots of money, or so I am told.
