This review is from: Olympus AS-2400PC Transcription Kit (Electronics) Ended up returning this product because the files I needed to use were not compatible with the software, and the foot pedal is not compatible with any other software, so the whole thing was useless. The software only supports a few types of audio files and there is no capability to support video. I was working on transcribing focus groups with at least 6 people so I needed to be able to use the video for reference. Olympus does not even sell a software that supports video. Olympus uses proprietary coding to communicate between the foot pedal and the computer, so it is impossible to set up the foot pedal to work with any other program and no patches are available. When I called customer support to find out if there was a way to convert the files to a supported format, they told me that the format I had (asf) did not exist, which of course is ridiculous. I ended up going with an Infinity foot pedal and the free software ExpressScribe, which supports video and many different kinds of files.
