I ignored that until after the item shipped and had some anxiety until I had climbed in the attic to discover that I had 24 inch studs in the newer construction but 16 inch in the older where I had planned to mount. The bracket came largely pre-assembled. There are two bars attaching to the TV which you attach before lifting the TV onto the mount; then there are only two easily-accessible screws to finish the job. One can still slide the TV sideways on the mounting arm once the assembly is finished. My mount is picture-height on the wall and the slide is stiff enough, I think the installation is toddler-proof. Actually, for me that was advantageous because it was even better positioned once I moved it off-center. My preferred chair is against the same wall the TV is mounted on, and I get enough extension for a good view. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you?
