Why can't I get a job? I have applied at 20 or more places and walmart was the only to call me back. I have my high school diploma, and I have only been employed through my town. Walmart gave a good interview and still weeks later no call back.

20 applications is only scratching the surface. The average job seeker spends up to a year looking for work. That results in a lot of time spent sending out applications. As others have pointed out, you also need to remember that for every job, there will be hundreds of applicants. Maybe Wal-mart hasn't finished the interview process yet. If you're feeling antsy, then call and politely ask where they are in the process of hiring. You have a right to know. And remember that if you don't get the job, you are not a loser. Many people apply to a position and only person will be selected. You will need to keep applying to increase your chances of being selected for another job.

Hey I know how you feel. I too have applied all over the place. To add to the heartbreak I have experience as a supervisor working with money and not once have I ever stolen. I take pride in my work but yet the companies seem to hire the pot heads or the cocaine addicts. I guess they would rather pay less to someone whom they can kick later down the line than someone whom can last with them. Keep your head up. There is a job out there for you. Don't get discouraged. Getting a job these days is rather hard. So many out of work and looking. Walmart can take a while to hire. It depends from store to store. I have seen some hired after a couple of weeks and others a couple of months. Call them from time to time and ask if you are still being considered. Many times that is what they want to see. Who is serious and who is not.
