I wanted an outside antenna for my scanner but did not want to drill holes in the wall or run the coax under a window. So I decided to try this glass mount antenna for myself. The antenna was easy to install and with just a little adjustment to the angle of the antenna it is working just fine. I now pick up all the talk groups I have programed into my scanner. Easy to install (just make sure its out of the way of your windshield wipers - I found that out). Reception is pretty good. This is the second antenna of this type I purchased. Have one on the outside window of my "man cave" - reception is good in the room too. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to listen to whats going on via the scanner. This review is from: Tram TRAM 1199 Glass Mount All-Band Scanner Antenna (Automotive) No instructions included but it is very simple. Just wipe both sides of the glass and put the outside one on first because its easier to line it up from the inside. Then allign the perimeters of the two sides up and push it on for about 5 seconds to bond either of the two parts. Then screw in the cable and plug it in to the radio or scanner. Picks up a decent signal. I have to glue mine back on with glass glue because we had a huge snow storm and when i came outside it was pushed off from the snow.
