Can not make up my mind if i want to quit my job to stay home with my 1 year old or if i want to work towards getting promoted, or staying where i am. just needing advice...

If you can handle it financially, I'd say stay home with your child as long as you can - until they start school would be nice. You can't get those years back.

i would suggest staying home with your son. my mom stayed home with me while i was little and i think it had a very possitive effect on my life. i've also heard that it is important for younger children to spend lots of time with their mother for bonding purposes. bottom line...what's more important? your job or you son? work will always be there but one day, before you know it, he will be all grown up and you will have wished you would've spent more time with him. that's just my take on the situation.

Hey, i know a woman that worked, worked, worked until she reached the TOP. Her children used to piss in the wardrobe and tell her to fuck off. I dont know if not being there had anything to do with it but its worth a shot.
