Yeah, it sucks. But keep dropping resumes everywhere you go, and make calls every week or so to keep up on their situation. Keep a list of all the places you checked out, and keep up to date. Or check out those placement agencies if you're desperate, you get shit jobs that pay fuck all, but you can get by until you strike something better. Just don't give up, no matter how hopeless it seems. Even with an abundance of work opportunities, finding a job is always a long process, and a job in itself.

Make it your job to search every possible place as your job and all the hours you would be working instead devote to finding a job until you get lucky. Ask everyone you know, or don't! Find leads of any kind and follow them up. The idea is even though there are very few jobs, the more time you spend searching and looking for one; the better your chances will be of finding one.
