Print up fliers advertising your availability to baby-sit. Post them in the public library and in your church, if you attend one. Ask your parents to spread the word to their friends and co-workers. Be aware that some people still might not want to hire you because you can't drive yet (that's why many parents give the age requirement). Good luck!

My 15 year old daughter is working at a pizza shop. She started working there a few months ago. She actually loves the job. She's on the phone taking orders, on the cash register, she helps make subs, sweep floors/wipe tables, and occasionally does the dishes. I would apply at small, locally owned shops/stores (mom and pop shops are great). She was also looking for babysitting positions or helping older people grocery shop, mow lawns, check mail while they were on vacations, walk dogs, etc. I would go around your neighborhood and spread the word.

As long as you are mature enough to be a babysitter. You could talk to your clergy at church or ask someone at the local daycare for a night and weekend job. Some one would have to vouch for you. Put your name out in the neighborhood any way you can. I'm sure you will get a response. Good luck.

Do not post this information randomly, but give directly to the parents. Tell all your friends and relatives. Place an ad in a local newspaper. Visit child care facilities in your area and ask permission to leave your name and phone number. Take child care classes at your local parks and recreation if they are offered, and a child CPR class.
