How do you upgrade your PSP from Version 3.52 to Version 4.05?

My psp can not turn off after i turn on it, that happen 2 times since i bought it may be 3 week or two week please help me, and my version firmware is 5.00 but i didn't upgrade my psp since i bought it, is that version normal or not

  Well that version is normal and I would say that u should take it back cause it has a defect. But try holding the power button longer cause sometimes depending on the game it takes a while to turn off. Also if you dont have a 1 or 2 GB memory stick u should try that cause sometimes the game has to much memory to function on just the psp memory.
