How do I fix the graphics on my laptop?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop. It will not play my Sims 2 games (they keep freezing in the beginning). Dell says there is nothing that can be done to fix this b/c the graphics card is in the motherboard and cant be upgraded. Any ways around this?:0(

    Internal graphics card or change the motherboard all together, in that case though you might as well buy a new laptop.

Yes, you'll need to buy an external graphics card or a new laptop with a better graphics card. Although its always worthwhile first trying out running the game on the lowest possible resolutions and settings to see if you can at least play the game.

well if there is a slot for another video card you can buy one and disable the onboard video card. Probably not worth doing for one game though and its most unlikely you have an extra slot for video card on a laptop

i was having this problem when i first started playing sims2 on my 1525, but if you're patient and quick enough, you can eventually get to the options page.. if you set all the graphics to the lowest possible setting, turn off all reflections and shadows, etc, you will be able to play the game with no troubles
